Social cohesion: Networking to keep children with their families and out of institutional care in Russia

"Russia is now entering a new phase of development in the social welfare system which could be called ‘prevention, standardization and deinstitutionalisation." (UNICEF Report)
 
This project is about preventing the entry of children into institutional care, and ensuring their exit from it once they are there. A lack of understanding among child welfare practitioners and policy makers about how to proceed as well as a lack of information about effective services is hindering the deinstitutionalisation process in Russia.
