29-08-2011
A two-day training session on strengthening trainers’ capacity in the context of the EU 7th Framework Programme on Research and Technology Development (FP7) is taking place today and tomorrow in Kyiv, Ukraine, according to a press release from the EU Delegation.
The training programme, designed with presentations and practical exercises, aims to increase the participation of Ukrainian organisations in the FP7, the press release continues.
It is organised by the EU-funded project “Joint Support Office for Enhancing Ukraine’s Integration into the European Research Area (JSO-ERA)” in cooperation with the FP7 NIP Ukraine, JSO-ERA Regional Focal Points and FP7 National Contact Points (NCPs), established in Ukraine in 2011.
The Project’s main objective is to support NIP-Ukraine’s operations and facilitate effective FP7 cooperation between Ukraine’s research communities, involved in innovation and research, and potential ERA partner organisations.
The EU 7th Framework Programme on Research and Technology Development (FP7) runs from 2007 to 2013 with a total budget of around €50 billion. Its main priority focuses on research directly relevant to the needs of European industry with a view to enhancing international European competitiveness and also to society to improve quality of life.
