Youth in Action opportunities open up to Eastern Partnership Youth Window initiative

The Eastern Partnership Youth Window is a new initiative within the EU-funded Youth in Action Programme aimed at fostering co-operation between the EU and Eastern Partnership countries in the field of youth, according to a press release from the EU Delegation to Ukraine.
The overall objective of the Youth in Action Programme is promoting mobility, non-formal learning, youth work development and encouraging the inclusion of all young people, regardless of their educational, social or cultural background.
With this new framework, the European Commission is giving an opportunity to participation for the Eastern Partnership countries.
The programme aims to help establish new contacts, share experience and search for new opportunities for learning and development between young people, youth organisations and youth workers from Eastern Partnership and EU countries.
Projects seeking to receive support under the Eastern Partnership Youth Window have to meet the following priorities:
  • Demonstrate a clear commitment to provide support to young people with fewer opportunities living in rural or deprived urban areas;
  • Raise awareness about the nature of youth work;
  • Promote sharing of best practices in the sphere of youth work.
Additional funds over the period 2012-2013 will be allocated for this initiative under the European Neighbourhood Policy Instrument (ENPI).
Promoters based in the Eastern Partnership countries and hosting the activity must submit their project proposals to the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency in Brussels. Details on how to submit a project to this Agency can be found here. (ENPI Info Centre)
