INOGATE launches technical assistance facility for electricity and gas market convergence, sustainable energy

The EU-funded INOGATE Technical Secretariat project has launched a new technical assistance facility called the Ad Hoc Expert Facility (AHEF), which targets assistance in the areas of electricity and gas market convergence, and sustainable energy (including investments in EE and RES).

The main purpose of providing assistance in the form of an Ad Hoc Expert Facility is to support INOGATE Partner Countries in progressing towards a greater convergence of energy markets and achievement of sustainable energy objectives set out in the framework of the political dialogue between the EU and Partner Countries.

Through this facility, INOGATE Partner Countries are able to apply for technical assistance that allows for the mobilisation of expert support at short notice.

The INOGATE Partner Countries eligible for support under the AHEF are: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

The complete guidelines and application forms for this can be found here.

INOGATE is an EU-funded programme promoting international energy co-operation between the European Union and the Partner Countries of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. It works to support the EU policy frameworks of the Baku Initiative, the Eastern Partnership – Energy Security Platform and the Energy Community. (EU Neighbourhood Info Centre)
