Erasmus Mundus Action 2 Parnerships for Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan has launched a call for applications for the academic year 2010-2011. This project concerns a total of 10 countries, 19 partner universities and 25 associates. Apart for the South Caucasus countries, it involves EU partners and associates from Greece, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, Latvia, the United Kingdom and Bulgaria.
This project provides opportunities of mobility to students, researchers and academic staff. It is addressed to all three target groups:
- Target group 1 - Students (undergraduate, master, doctorate), post-doctorate fellows and staff (academic or administrative) registered in one of the University members of the partnership;
- Target group 2 - Nationals of Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, registered in a higher education Institution (at master, doctorate or post-doctorate level) of these countries not included in the partnership or having obtained in an Institution of these countries a University degree or equivalent;
- Target group 3 - Nationals of Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, who are in particularly vulnerable situations, for social and political reasons.
Priority is given to students with special needs and with socio-economic problems (without parents, divorced or ill parents, very low income, etc.), through a transparent selection process.
The deadline for submission of applications of the South Caucasian Undergraduate and Master Students for the 1st Round of Mobility, as well as of the Georgian PhD student for 34 months (target group 3) is 31 August 2010. (ENPI Info Centre)
