EuropeAid warns against organisation requesting guarantees for submission of proposals

EuropeAid has warned against an organisation calling applicants to provide guarantees of up to €1,000 when they submit proposals to the European Commission (EC).

 

The organisation, called ‘Eartling’, has launched a call for proposals claiming to have the support of the EC. It demands guarantees of 1,000 €, 500 € or 250 €.

 

In a statement posted on its website, EuropeAid said it had “no involvement whatsoever” in the call, pointing out that it never requested guarantees to paid for the submission of proposals. All calls for proposals launched by EuropeAid are published at https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/europeaid/online-services/index.cfm?do=publi.welcome.

Opinion research and polling in ENPI Countries and Territories project – Contract awarded

The EuropeAid Cooperation Office has awarded the service contract for the “Opinion research and polling in ENPI Countries and Territories” project, publication reference EuropeAid/127122/C/SER/Multi, funded by the Regional Programme.

 

The date of award of the contract is 29 December 2008 and its value is € 1,325,794, according to the award notice.

 

Two tenders were received for the project that will help the development of future activities and the communications and messaging strategy for the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI). The successful tenderer is MWH sa, in a consortium with TNS, Mostra Communication and Globe Village, all based in Brussels.

 

The purpose of this contract is to:

  • Provide insights into the perceptions and opinion among key target audiences in the ENPI region, on subjects relating to the EU, its objectives and policies.
  • Assess the state of public opinion in general and to help evaluate, validate and define European Union policies.
