ENPI Information and Communication Support Project
Highlighting relations between the EU and 16 countries in its Neighbourhood
This portal is one of the main communication tools of the ENPI Information and Communication Support Project, launched by the European Commission in January 2009 to make more known the relationship between the EU, its nine partner countries in the Mediterranean and seven neighbours and partners in the East. It follows on from the EuroMed Info Centre, a similar project focusing only on the Mediterranean partner countries, which lasted from October 2005 to January 2009.
This three-year Project is funded by the EuropeAid cooperation office, which manages EU external aid programmes and is charged with turning political decisions into actions benefiting the partner countries and its citizens on the ground. It is financed under EuropeAid’s Regional Information and Communication Programme.
The Project seeks to increase knowledge and raise awareness and understanding of the Euro-Mediterranean cooperation (Barcelona Process) on the one hand, and the Partnership with the East on the other.
The Project gives special emphasis to the activities supported by the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI), the financial instrument through which decisions taken within the framework of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) are implemented.
The countries participating in the ENPI are:
ENPI South - Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Occupied Palestinian Territory, Syria, Tunisia
ENPI East - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia
The ENPI funds some 40 projects and programmes in the South through EuropeAid’s Regional Programme and a similar number in the East. Detailed information about the projects and programmes can be found in the Projects section of our website (Projects South, Projects East) and on EuropeAid’s website (Regional co-operation for the eastern region, Regional co-operation for the southern region).

ENPI Info Centre production
The ENPI Info Centre produces material illustrating the work done in the partner countries by the projects funded through EuropeAid’s regional programmes.
This ranges from feature stories, interviews and photos, giving the view of the people who have benefited and a flavour of cooperation on the ground, to Q&As and background memos simplifying polices and listing available information sources.
This material can be used freely, as long as the source “ENPI Info Centre/EC” is credited.
Communications downloads
We have prepared the following communications downloads - ENPI logo, ENPI ecard, ENPI web flyer
Our services
We deal with requests from EU Headquarters and Delegations and others interested in the Partnership, and we support journalists as well as Regional Programme-funded project managers seeking to disseminate information on their work.
The Project also produces material, including feature stories in English, French, Arabic and Russian, from each of the Partner Countries, that can be found by clicking here for the South and here for the East.
