09-09-2009
Evaluation methods for students developed under the EU-funded Tempus programme have had an important impact on higher education in Ukraine, according to the latest episode of the ‘Window to Europe’ telemagazine broadcast in Russia.
The programme, broadcast on 6 September, focused, among other themes, on the Tempus programme in Ukraine, featuring the University of Kherson, which has taken part in seven projects under Tempus. Education experts spoke highly of knowledge evaluation methods for university and college students developed under the programme.
The Tempus programme funds university cooperation projects in the areas of curriculum development, university governance and structural reforms in higher education. It promotes mobility of students and teaching staff from the EU and Partner Countries.
Window to Europe is one of 13 projects funded across the ENPI under EuropeAid’s €19 million Regional Information and Communication Programme, which seeks to increase awareness and understanding among the citizens of the area, about the EU, its policies and relations with their countries.
In collaboration with local partners, Window to Europe runs regular TV and radio programmes in Belarus, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine, featuring news, interviews and debates related to latest developments in the EU and its cooperation with the four partner countries.
