The Black Sea countries have long exploited ample resources of the sea they share. Over time, pollution, coastal development and overfishing undermined the unique ecosystem.
The SCBSea project contributes to the sustainable development of the Black Sea Basin by preventing and reducing the input of pollutants through river or direct discharges into the sea, as well as through sustainable management and protection of natural resources, including water resources and biodiversity.
