A new Steering Committee composed of seventeen members was elected at the annual meeting of the Civil Society Forum which was recently held in Poznan (Poland).

The Steering Committee, elected for a one-year term, will be composed of six country facilitators, one representing each of the six partner countries, eight working group coordinators, including one EU and one partner country representative for each of the four working groups: Democracy, human rights, good governance and stability; economic integration and convergence with EU policies; environment, climate change and energy security; and contacts between people.

During the plenary session, three EU coordinators were elected by the Forum: Krzysztof Bobiński, from the Unia a Polska Foundation (Poland), Jeff Lovitt, from the Policy Association for an Open Society (PASOS), and Amanda Lövkvist, representing the European Network of Political Foundations (ENOP)/Swedish International Liberal Centre.

The Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (EaP CSF) was established in 2009 following the Prague Summit which launched the Eastern Partnership. The EaP CSF aims to support the development of civil society organizations and facilitate their dialogue with public authorities. The first EaP CSF took place in Brussels on 16-17 November 2009 and the second one was held in Berlin on 18-19 November 2010. (ENPI Info Centre)
