EU Photo Exhibition: Ways towards integration in Georgia

A photo exhibition organised by the EU Delegation to Georgia and entitled "Ways towards integration" is open to public in Tbilisi this week at the National Museum.
Its aims to show a new way of interpretation of support granted to Georgian people by the European Union, addressing the main areas of cooperation: social, economic and cultural. It also refers to reforms in justice, support to Internally Displaced People (IDPs), economic development, poverty reduction, education, environment, energy, trade and human rights.
A total of 56 photos demonstrate to the visitor that the paths leading to integration are many and varied, describing the human side of the story in each implemented project and showing how they "have made a difference".
The common theme of all photos is "Integration" as a multidimensional phenomenon, covering various definitions and desired goals. This includes integration of displaced people and respecting diversity; equal opportunities and public goods.
Integration of vulnerable groups, cannot be imposed, but is the result of a common effort to fight poverty, enhance social solidarity and reduce marginalisation, says the press release. (ENPI Info Centre)
