Building the Motorways of the Sea

Opening up great maritime highways linking the shores of the Mediterranean is a key challenge for the EU’s cooperation with its southern partners. But to build the motorways of the sea, it’s the small details that make a big difference. For the past three years, an EU-funded project has been working on those details, and now the results are beginning to show.

This is part of a series of features on projects funded by the EU’s Regional Programme, prepared by journalists and photographers on the ground or the ENPI Info Centre available in English, French and Arabic.
