Anna Lindh Foundation: €1.35 million call for projects to promote civil society

The Anna Lindh Foundation has launched a Call for Project Proposals for 2012 worth a total of €1.35 million, aimed at supporting projects that promote the mobilisation and empowerment of civil society. Around 50 projects are expected to be awarded through this call.
 
A press release said the call was in line with the Anna Lindh Foundation’s ‘4D’ Strategy, which conceives Intercultural Dialogue as a civil society mobilisation factor, aimed at valuing Diversity, promoting the participation of the society in building open and plural Democracies, and fostering inclusive and sustainable human Development.
 
The overall financial envelope for this Call for Proposals is €1,350,000, with:
  • Minimum grants available at €20,000
  • Maximum grant available at €35,000
The Anna Lindh Foundation financial support will not exceed 80% of the total eligible costs of the project.
 
The Ann Lindh Foundation supports only multilateral projects built upon a 1+1 partnership formula with at least one partner from a Southern Mediterranean country  and at least one partner from a European country.
 
The duration of the project must be between a maximum of 12 consecutive months and a minimum of 8 consecutive months, and the duration of the implementation must fall within the period between 15 July 2012 and 15 October 2013.
 
The deadline for application is 16 April 2012 at 16.00 hrs Egyptian Time (GMT+2).

The Anna Lindh Foundation for Inter-Cultural Dialogue promotes knowledge, mutual respect and inter-cultural dialogue between the people of the Euro-Mediterranean region, working through a network of more than 3,000 civil society organisations in 43 countries. Its budget is co-funded by the EU (€7 million) and the EU member states (€6 million).
