L'UE inquiète de l'expulsion d'une famille palestinienne à Jérusalem-Est

Les missions de l'UE à Jérusalem et à Ramallah ont publié samedi une déclaration condamnant l'expulsion de la famille Annatscha de sa maison dans le quartier de Beit Hanina, à Jérusalem-Est, et exprimant leur vive inquiétude quant au projet israélien de construction d'une nouvelle colonie à Jérusalem-Est, étant donné que les colonies sont illégales au regard du droit international.

 
La déclaration se base sur l'article 49, paragraphe 6 de la quatrième Convention de Genève, qui indique que « la Puissance occupante ne pourra procéder à la déportation ou au transfert d'une partie de sa propre population civile dans le territoire occupé par elle ». Elle ajoute que la communauté internationale a à maintes reprises appelé Israël à cesser ses activités de colonisation. (ENPI Info Centre)
