Call issued for Cultural Activities in Lebanon
24-06-2010The Delegation of the EU to Lebanon has issued a Call for Proposals for Cultural Activities to be carried out within the country in 2010 (EuropeAid/130192/L/ACT/LB).
The programme of cultural activities for 2010 calls for:
- dialogue and exchange between cultures and civilisations;
- the promotion of mutual understanding and the rapprochement between people through cultural and artistic exchanges.
The actions should aim at promoting inter cultural understanding through any artistic or cultural activity (including for educational purposes): music, literature, performing arts (theatre, dance, etc.), visual arts (sculpture, painting, etc.) audiovisual arts (cinema, television, radio, digital and media arts, video art, etc.), photography, reading, story telling, comics, etc. Each project should be focused on interaction between the participants and be accessible for a wide range of social groups, for example through animations.
Any grant awarded under this programme must fall between a minimum of €15,000 and a maximum of €30,000. The programme is funded under the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI).
The initial planned duration of an action may not exceed 12 months.
Actions must take place in Lebanon and ideally in more than one region.
Projects are submitted by local associations or their partners from the EU and EU neighbouring countries to the Delegation to Lebanon. Local associations are encouraged to find partners from EU and EU neighbouring countries.
The deadline for the submission of applications is 31 August 2010.
An information session on this call for proposals will be held on Tuesday 13 July 2010 at 11h00 in the Delegation of the European Union's premises. (ENPI Info Centre)
