EuropeAid launches new Civil Society Helpdesk

08-09-2010

Drowning in a sea of pages and websites? Fed up of looking for information on the net? Do you want to know really where to find the last version of a document? Aware of these issues, EuropeAid is working to improve its relations with civil society with its new online Civil Society Helpdesk CiSocH, providing easier access to information for everybody concerned with development cooperation.

Europeaid will present the new helpdesk tomorrow, Thursday 9 September, from 1-2pm, at its External Cooperation Infopoint in Brussels.

The helpdesk is a one-stop shop for all questions on cooperation between EuropeAid and civil society – making procedures, vocabulary, work methods, etc. easier to understand.

With a powerful search tool based on the Mediawiki software (Wikipedia),
CiSocH gives direct access to existing information currently spread across different websites, through keywords directly linked to your daily work.

According to EuropeAid, the goal of the helpdesk is to offer a tool that will help users benefit from each other’s experiences in cooperating with civil society and share best practice (procedures, handbooks, guidelines, etc.). (ENPI Info Centre)
