EU countries imagined by fine arts students in Algeria

Within its cultural activities of 2012, the EU Delegation in Algeria has organised a painting competition with the students of the Fine Arts School of Algiers on the theme 'The EU countries seen by Fine Arts students'. The paintings are being displayed at Mohamed Racim gallery in Algiers from 15 to 20 July 2012.

The EU Delegation wanted with this competition to stimulate the creative spirit of the students, but more particularly to encourage them to know better the European Union. Thirty paintings have been presented, representing sometimes countries that are barely known by the Algerian audience, such as Latvia, Estonia or the Czech Republic.
