Service Procurement Notice for €4.5 million Euromed Audiovisual III CBSU

A Service Procurement Notice for the Euromed Audiovisual III Capacity-Building Support Unit has been announced by EuropeAid, under the publication reference EuropeAid/129251/C/SER/MULTI.
 
This capacity building support unit (CBSU) is one of the components of the Euromed Audiovisual III programme, which aims to contribute to intercultural dialogue and cultural diversity through support to building cinematographic and audiovisual capacity in the ENPI South region (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Occupied Palestinian Territory, Syria, Tunisia).
 
The contract will support the ENPI South public authorities and professionals of the film sector (cinema, television, online products) in the following areas of work:
  • reinforcement of the fields of institutional and legislative framework in the field of the audiovisual/film sector,
  • support for the development of an improved environment of cooperation between producers, distributors and other audiovisual operators at the Euro-Mediterranean level as well as in multilateral co-productions,
  • explore the possibilities of developing a support funding mechanism for productions and co-productions including various countries of the region.
 
The indicative maximum budget, funded under the ENPI South programme, is €4.5 million. The provisional commencement date is 15 November 2010 and its initial period of implementation is 36 months.
 
Participation is open to all natural and legal persons participating in a grouping (consortium) of candidates established in an EU Member State or in a country or territory of the regions covered by the specific instrument applicable to the programme under which the contract is financed. It is also open to international organisations. The consortium shall include at least 2 public bodies.
 
The awarded contractor of the call for tender for Regional Monitoring Support Unit (EuropeAid/129249/C/SER/MULTI) cannot be awarded a contract under this call as it may result as a conflict of interest.
