Additional €26.4 million allocated to CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme

The ENPI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme will benefit from an additional €26.4 million granted by the European Commission following the mid-term evaluation of the ENPI cross-border component, bringing the total budget of the programme to €200 million.

A press release said the amount granted represents an increase of 15% over the original budget of €173.6 million, with half of the extra funds allocated to the call for strategic projects (with a total budget of €75.6 million) and the other half to the second call for standard projects (with a total budget of €56.5 million), according to a decision taken by the Joint Monitoring Committee.

Last month, the ENPI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme launched its second call for standard projects worth a total of €56.5 million. The deadline for submission of Concept Notes is 29 February 2012.
